Ireland long weekends and bridge days 2028
The best days to take off in Ireland 2028: every holiday run, and how much leave turns it into a longer break.
How to read this: “Base days” is the run of days off you get for free. Each pill tells you how many days of leave (PTO) connect that run to another weekend — more days off for the same leave.

Planning tip
Book long weekends early — flights and hotels around public holidays are the first to sell out. If your company allows it, link two holidays with one or two days of leave instead of taking them separately.
Make it a trip
Long weekends are the best-value days to travel — and the first dates to sell out. Compare flights and hotels around the long weekend before prices move.
